Murray McLaughlan - October 19
Murray McLauchlan tickets are on sale now at the Moncton
PRESS CLUB 160 Assomption Blvd. in Moncton and Frank's Music 245 Carson Drive, Moncton.
The tickets are general admission and priced at
$30. Join us for this up close and personal event to witness a very special evening of music by this 11 time Juno Award Winning
Canadian icon. Tickets are limited and the show was over half sold out as of the one month countdown date.
Murray McLauchlan is one of Canada's best songwriting performers. To experience him perform
is to enjoy creative storytelling, social commentary and wit with a man who clearly enjoys sharing his music and experiences
with an audience.
In his late teens, soon after developing the art of songwriting, Murray found himself playing at
major music festivals such as The Philadelphia Folk Festival and Mariposa, where he appeared alongside Jim Croce and John
Prine. He then continued to attract attention on the club circuit, playing such well known rooms as The Riverboat in Toronto,
The Bitter End in New York, The Main Point in Philadelphia, and the famous Earl of Old Town in Chicago. Before Murray had
actually recorded an album of his own, his "Child’s Song" was already well known after being recorded by American folk
star Tom Rush.
Now, thirty odd years later, Murray has twenty albums to his credit on both True North Records and
Capitol Records. Murray has won eleven JUNO awards, as well as RPM "Big Country" awards and Toronto music awards. His songs
have been covered by many other artists as well as being featured in high school text books.
Murray has been both
a radio and television host as well as the author of a book and in 1993 was appointed to the order of Canada. His side project
with Ian Thomas, Cindy Church and Marc Jordan, Lunch at Allen's has taken on a life of its own with a live DVD and CD released
in 2004 on Capitol/EMI and Catch The Moon (2007). As well, Murray composed a stage musical, Eddie. In the fall of 2006, EMI
Music released the album, The Songbook... New Arrivals, featuring songs from the musical.

If your 50's experience consists
of watching re-runs of Happy Days, you've got to check out the next A&W Car Hop event. Even the rain didn't dampen the
fun this past Saturday at the Champlain St. location. The Muddy River Roller Derby Girls, in complete 50's attire, did a fantastic
job recreating the old A&W car hop days. If you missed Saturday's event, bring the family out next time around. Lot's
of fun and for a worthy cause.

Chance Performance with "So You Think You Can Dance" Champ:
Local Hip Hop Sensation ThizzKidd got February 11th at Riverview
Arts Centre
Even for a guy whose name is Chance, this was an opportunity that was too good
to let pass. When ABE confirmed that Chance, aka ThizzKidd, was to perform a half hour set with Blake McGrath
& JDIGGZ, we hoped to interview him but scheduling did not permit. In any event, this event has really kick started an
already successful music carreer and we wish him continued success.
Milton Jerome wound up his Atlantic Canadian Threatre Tour in Sussex, NB. The "Rock n Roll Night" was part
of a fundraising effort for the Sussex Volunteer Fire Department to help purchase state of the art equipment.

worlds as well as a broad appeal". MJ McAllister - December 12, 2010.

acoustic, demos have been posted recently on the site; Reverb Nation and have received a lot of buzz. The duo plan
to go into the studio in the new year.

Toronto based rock band Moxy.
More than 70,000 people converged on Moncton's Magnetic Hill to watch AC/DC rock out the
tunes that made them so famous. Anvil, who has seen a recent resergence in it's popularity put on a quality performance
as well. Moncton's Magnetic Hill Concert Site is gaining respect as major tour concert site after such acts as the Rolling
Stones in 2005, the Eagles last year and more recently Bon Jovi. Keep an eye on our youtube site for more videos.

Thane Dunn becomes Elvis
Elvis & Roy Orbison Revisited:
On Saturday, January 29th, Thane Dunn &
the Cadillac Kings put on a rockin' tribute to the king by performing at the 5th Annual Elvis Birthday Celebration.
The event was held at the Wesleyan Celebration Center in Moncton NB. In the past ten years Thane Dunn has built
a solid reputation as one of the most authentic Elvis recreators worldwide. In addition, the strong vocals of singer/songwriter
Milton Jerome (the Overdrive Classic Rock Show) were featured during a thirty-minute Roy Orbison tribute.
This journey back to the infancy of Rock n Roll was a huge success performed in front of a capacity crowd. The
journey continued on April 19th at the Imperial Theatre in Saint John and May 2 in Glace Bay, NS.
Atlantic Canada Rocks:
Eagles land in Moncton, NB
By all accounts 55000 fans attended the Eagles concert at the Magnetic Hill outdoor concert site
Aug. 2, 2008. While the gates opening was delayed by one hour due to previous inclement weather, the rain held off and
the concert went off without a hitch. John Fogerty, KT Tunstall and the Sam Roberts Band will also played at the summer
festival. John Fogarty did not disapoint rocking out CCR hits as well as those from his solo carreer. While some
concert goers watched fans purposely take a mud bath sliding down the hill, all eyes were on the stage when the
Eagles revisited Hotel California. Many of the songs we grew up with were just like listening to the album
and the sound quality was great! If you chose to stay until the very end, it was a bit congested getting out, but overall
it was a great experience.
Atlantic Canada Rocks 2007:
This summer Atlantic Bands & Entertainment attended the Miramichi Rock n Roll Festival. Inclement
weather forced opening night festivites inside the Miramichi Civic Centre. However, this night of
family fun was a huge success. Elvis, Marilyn and the OVERDRIVE Classic Rock Show were on hand to cap off this rock n roll
journey. Children turned out in droves for a retro costume contest (PHOTOS - follow the Rock n Roll Avenue Sign). Friday
night featured the Reunion Band with Donny & the Monarchs rapping things up on Saturday night. Check out the website for
this year's line up.
Steve LeBlanc & Daniel Dupuis ignite to form TRACY STARR and have recently landed a record deal
with PERRIS Records. We picked up a copy of their new album and were extremely impressed with the "Guitar-Driven" tracks.
To quote Don Coleman of AnR International, "Steve LeBlanc is an axe surgeon, a journeyman who would be comfortable trading
licks and solos with the best guitarists in the world - BAR NONE!" The album is now available in Canada, the
U.S. & Europe. Check the group out at www.tracystarr.net .
Tracy Starr launched debut CD
Steve LeBlanc & Tracy Starr rocked out to a jam packed Oxygen Night Club Friday night to launch their debut CD. We
had the pleasure of picking up this guitar-driven album and give the Moncton based group a firm thumbs up!
Rolling Stones in Atlantic Canada
Who'd-a-thunk it! "Twice in a Year"
While lot's of international acts passed our way in 2006, the Stones were probably the biggest. British
Flags were again prominent when Mick, Keith and the boys landed back in Atlantic Canada. Student discounts
bumped attendance to over 40,000 as fans braved heavy rain to see their rockin' roll hereos. The Rolling Stones
came back to the region for a September 23 concert on the Halifax commons. Only a year ago, the Stones put
on an incredible show underneath blue skies for a sea of 85000 plus rock n roll fans in Moncton. Fans representing
all provinces, territories and four other countries attended this mammoth outdoor rock show. At that time Keith Richards
was rumoured to have suggested he might settle down here. Back so soon, maybe the notion is not that far fetched.
Jason Haywood goes Country with Johnney Cash Tribute
Jason Haywood has added yet another dimension to his musical carreer. This timely tribute to Johnney Cash
has got the music community buzzing with talk of jam packed shows and arena tours. Jason is also a singer songwriter and we
had the pleasure of picking up one of his albums a few years back.
As well as the usual classic cars, street rods & muscle, the 2006 edition of the Atlantic Nationals
Car Show again featured a variety of entertainment including, Jason Haywood, the GTO band & the Classics. Go
to www.atlanticnationals.com for lots of great photos to follow this year's festivities.
JD Fortune & company made a stop in JD's stompin grounds in May and gave fans everthing
they had hoped for. The Atlantic Canadian won the position of INXS lead singer during last year's TV reality series, Rock
Star INXS on CBS. While the international super group rocked Atlantic Canada in early May, they have released some
additional Canadian dates on their website for this year (click on the INXS logo above).

Milton Jerome & the Overdrive Classic Rock Show joined Glamourpuss Blues Band and Christian Rock Band,
Higher Ground, to celebrate Canada Day in Moncton's Centennial Park. Overdrive headlined a street dance in downtown Moncton
1 year ago where bike enthusiasts gathered to flaunt their Harley muscle and metal. Overdrive has performed at several
festivals and corporate events over the past year and a half. Prior to Overdrive, Milton spent five seasons (2000 - 2004)
as lead singer of the GTO Band.

2002 Car Show - Street Dance Photo
A similar picture could have been taken from this same location at the 2005 H.O.G. Rally in downtown Moncton. Harley
owners and other bike enthusiasts from accross Atlantic Canada converged on Moncton August 18th - 21st. A street
dance on Main St. featuring Milton Jerome and Overdrive was one of the many events on the menu. The event also previewed
a Brian Adams tribute. Milton took this photo during a performance in 2002 at the Atlantic National's Car Show.
Overdrive Rockin' in Downtown Moncton:
Singer/songwriter & entertainer Milton Jerome has peformed at major events including
the Atlantic Nationals Car Show, the Miramichi Rockin' Roll Festival and at the Charlottetown Civic Centre for the
2004 Old Home Week. Milton's Overdrive Classic Rock Show includes Larry Little on lead guitar, Marc Eagles on drums
and Dave LeBlanc on Base. Special guests have included Roger Cormier of Glamoupuss, Paul Lee and Saxman
Kevin Cairnes. Milton's strong vocals and charisma have been a hit with rockin' roll
fans attending festivals and corporate functions throughout Atlantic Canada for the past seven years.
Elvis, Roy Orbison, Beatles, Beach Boys, CCR and the Stones are featured in this nostalgic walk
through the golden years of Rockin' Roll. Shifting into Overdrive with Canadian Classic Rock from Supergroups
like BTO, Guess Who, April Wine, Trooper and Stampeeders, hits from the likes of Elton John, Steeve Miller
& John Melencamp are also covered.

OLD SCHOOL Rocked at the Fox:
I had the pleasure of catching OLD SCHOOL's Act a couple of years ago at the Fox n Hound
in Riverview. The band recently played at the 2006 Memorial Cup at the Moncton Coliseum. With seasoned musicians
and crowd interaction, this is an act not to be missed. Add to that, the inovation of "Digital Craig's" guitar sounds
echoeing the likes of Nickleback and others, these guys sound like the real thing. As for the on and off stage antics of John
Guitar (Formerly Boogie Brothers), why would anyone let this guy get away? John has a wide vocal range and is compfortable
with just about any style of music. Young, old or not sure, you've got to check these guys out!
Pictured is 2003 Photo are band members; Jon Guitar - vocals, Steve Stewart - guitar, Craig O'Neill - guitar,
Ian Gosbee - bass and Frank Hache - drums.
